Across Pakistan’s sacred and ancient landscapes
Beginning beside the Arabian Sea and concluding beneath the Margalla Hills, this carefully paced route connects living Hindu temples, pilgrimage landscapes, cities of the Indus civilisation and the shared religious heritage of Sindh and Punjab.
Temple entry, photography and ritual participation remain governed by local custodians, worship schedules and community guidance.
The journey in detail
Day 1 · Arrival in Karachi
Meet the Experience Pakistan team at Jinnah International Airport and transfer privately to your hotel. After time to rest, receive an orientation covering the route, sacred-site etiquette, photography considerations and the communities encountered.
Day 2 · Hindu heritage of Karachi
Visit Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and, subject to access, Shri Varun Dev Temple near the Arabian Sea. Continue to the National Museum of Pakistan for archaeological and religious context, then explore selected colonial quarters and the waterfront.
Day 3 · Pilgrimage to Hinglaj Mata
Depart before sunrise along the Makran Coastal Highway through Hingol National Park to the sacred Hinglaj Mata complex. Time is allowed for worship and quiet observation before returning to Karachi. Operation depends on road, security and local access conditions.
Day 4 · Karachi to Hyderabad via Thatta and Makli
Travel to the carved Chaukhandi tombs, then explore the UNESCO-listed Historical Monuments at Makli and the tile-lined Shah Jahan Mosque before continuing to Hyderabad.
Day 5 · Hyderabad to Larkana via Sehwan
Begin with Hyderabad’s historic core, then continue to Sehwan Sharif for insight into Sindh’s inclusive devotional traditions. Follow the Indus plains north towards Larkana.
Day 6 · Mohenjo-daro and Sukkur
Explore Mohenjo-daro with a knowledgeable local guide, examining the citadel, lower town, street plan, wells, drainage network and Great Bath. Continue to Sukkur for an evening beside the Indus.
Day 7 · Sadh Belo and the journey to Multan
Visit Sadh Belo, the Hindu temple complex on an island in the Indus, subject to permission and boat conditions. Continue across upper Sindh and southern Punjab to Multan.
Day 8 · Multan: sacred layers and the old city
Discover Multan’s religious history through the old city, traditional bazaars and sacred architecture. Visit Shah Rukn-e-Alam and surviving traces of Hindu heritage where access is possible, with time for blue pottery workshops.
Day 9 · Multan to Lahore
Drive through Punjab to Lahore. After check-in and rest, take an orientation walk through part of the historic centre, introducing the lanes and neighbourhoods explored the following day.
Day 10 · Lahore’s religious and architectural heritage
Explore Lahore Fort and Shalamar Gardens, the Walled City and selected Hindu heritage locations, including Krishna Mandir when accessible. Site order is adjusted around opening hours, worship and traffic.
Day 11 · Lahore to Islamabad via Katas Raj
Travel to the Salt Range and explore the Katas Raj temple complex, centred on its sacred pool. Walk between the principal temples while learning about the site’s history and conservation, then continue to Islamabad.
Day 12 · Departure from Islamabad
Transfer privately to Islamabad International Airport according to your flight time. When schedules permit, a brief capital orientation can be arranged before departure.
